Implied Spaces – Ongoing Spatial Study
Type
Experimental Physical Models + Digital Collage
Status
Ongoing Exploration
Born from the leftover materials of my thesis process — miniature furniture, chipboard scraps, broken model parts — this ongoing study began as an unintentional exploration of what happens when objects are arranged without clear rules or expectations. By placing disparate pieces on improvised platforms, I began to read each composition not just as a layout, but as a story — or more precisely, a space with an emotional implication.
This series investigates the power of implied space: spaces defined not by solid walls or traditional enclosures, but by the relationships between objects, textures, and voids. These arrangements suggest rooms, memories, or rituals that don’t exist — but still feel real.
If architecture mirrors the human psyche, then these studies ask:
What do our fragmented, makeshift environments say about us?
Each composition — whether physical or digitally collaged — becomes a small, silent stage. A moment of pause. A collection of forms standing in for a way of living, a mode of being, or even a way of hiding. There are no users shown, but their presence is implied through proportion, furniture, and absence.
The study continues to evolve as an experimental playground for spatial narrative, using humble materials to reflect complex emotional landscapes.
