Still Life – Paraphernalia is an ongoing photo-collage series that frames the uncurated leftovers of everyday life as formal still lifes — deliberately reframing what is often hidden, cleaned up, or discarded before ever being seen.
The work is composed of candid photographs of domestic detritus:
Pizza boxes and milk cartons teetering on or near the trash
Forgotten piles shoved into corners
Cracks in ceilings and walls
Evidence of entropy, delay, or simply being too tired to clean
These images are then digitally collaged with ornate frames, creating visual tension between the rawness of the content and the aesthetic value we traditionally assign to art. The result is a wry, melancholy, and brutally honest portrait of presence — a still life of modern survival.
This series questions what we choose to show, what we hide, and what it says about how we define "beauty" or "worth" in a world that prioritizes curation over reality.
